Inpatient Therapy Services

Acute Therapy is any combination of Occupation Therapy, Physical Therapy, and/or Speech Therapy. As ordered by the physician, we work with patients of all ages with various rehabilitation needs.
Skilled Therapy, as with Acute Therapy, can include Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and/or Speech Therapy. Some specialized services are orthopedic surgery recovery, balance disorders/frequent falls, rehabilitation for neurologic disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, and Guillain Barre Syndrome, swallowing difficulties, voice disorders, etc. We work with each patient individually to set goals, record progress, and plan for the future. We often assist patients with home evaluations to best prepare for ease when returning home.

Swing Bed Therapy is part of a customized treatment plan prepared by our swing bed team under the supervision of your personal physician. This includes Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and/or Speech Therapy and/or skilled nursing. In coordination with one another, we plan each patient’s treatment with the common goal of discharging to home as soon as it is safe and appropriate to do so. We will also suggest appropriate equipment to each patient to make their home environment set for success.
