Harrison County Community Hospital Foundation

A good local hospital has the power to add great strength to its community, just as a good local community has the power to add great strength to its hospital.
The History of Our Foundation
In 2006, the Harrison County Community Hospital District Board of Directors authorized the establishment of our first Foundation, comprised of a core group of advocates wishing to develop a legacy of support for their respective institutions.
Articles of Incorporation and Board bylaws were adopted and the Harrison County Community Hospital, Inc. Foundation received its designation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the fall of 2006.
As stated in the bylaws, the Foundation is “To actively serve and promote the welfare of HCCH and of those citizens served by the hospital.”
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, whose primary responsibilities are to raise funds to further enhance the services provided by HCCH and to oversee the disbursement of all non-restricted hospital contributions.
Thanks to much public generosity, the HCCH Foundation has provided monetary donations to the hospital, improving the ability to provide the quality of care our community members deserve. Now, more than ever, Harrison County Community Hospital depends on thoughtful gifts of all sizes to enable the continuation of service provided with the most modern equipment and highest quality of care.
Public Donations to the Harrison County Community Hospital Foundation have contributed to:
- Three Defibrillators
- Power Injector for CT Scanner
- Annual Hospital Hill Fun Run/Walk
- AARP Driver Safety Program
- Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Program
- Annual Thanksgiving Day Fundraiser Run
